Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her acting career as a child soon after her move to the United States. In AT&T commercials she played the role as Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 until 2016 and into the year 2020. She was a regular host of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). She also had the role of a regular character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub has also voiced Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was chosen to voice the character in the unaired television pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub is a Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native, and also a Jew. When she was two years old her parents and she moved to the U.S. as refugees to get away from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. She began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five, because of the family's financial troubles. Vayntrub briefly studied at Beverly Hills High School. In her sophomore year she dropped out and got a GED. She went on to get a Bachelor of Arts, Communication from University of California San Diego. As part of the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied the art of improv comedy.
