Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7, 1998) popularly referred to as MrBeast, is an American YouTube star, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. [6] He is credited for creating the YouTube video style that focuses on extravagant stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson began posting videos to YouTube in early 2012 at 13 years old under the name "MrBeast6000" His early content included everything from "Let's Plays to "videos that estimated the wealth of other YouTubers." He went viral in 2017 after his "counting to 100,000" video racked up hundreds of thousands of views in just a couple of days, and he has been getting more and more popular ever since, with the majority of his videos earning hundreds of millions of views.Over time the style of his content expanded to include challenge and donation videos that award millions of dollars, video that include tough challenges or tasks, and original video vlogs. Donaldson has had a number of his childhood friends assist him in managing his growing YouTube channel. By 2022 the MrBeast team consisted of 60 people.Donaldson's main YouTube channel, which reached 100 million users on July 28, 2022, is referred to as "MrBeast".
