American actress Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8 1997). She is best known for her roles on Melrose Place, Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim as well as her recurring role on Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer-based market researchers. They separated when Courtney was seven years old, and she was with both parents at various times. Jennifer is her elder sibling, is an advertising executive. She attended Menlo Atherton High School located in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. In the high school, she performed with Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne Smith made her debut film appearance in the movie drama Lucas, alongside Winona Ryder, Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. In the mid-80s, she also appeared in a variety of films including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). In 1998, she was the star of the box-office movie Chairman Of The Bank, which failed alongside Carrot Top. Thorne-Smith was in Sorority Wars in 2009. In the early 1990s, Thorne-Smith dated Andrew Shue, her on-screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she married Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple separated in January 2001. On January 1, 2007, she married Roger Fishman, president of the marketing company the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. On the 11th of January, 2008, when she was 40 years old she gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman, her son. Jacob Emerson Fishman.
