Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going to appear in
major-screen comedies like 'Elf' 'Anchorman,' as well as Talladega Nights. In
1967, in Irvine, California, Will Ferrell launched his career in comedy by
being a part of the Los Angeles-based improv group the Groundlings. He was a
Saturday Night Live cast member for seven years and was a huge comedic draw
through off-color hits, such as Old School 2003 and Anchorman: The Legend of
Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell cofounded the popular video streaming service Funny
or Die. He has also been a successful voice actor for animated films like
Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was born on the 16th of July, 1967, in
Irvine, California. The oldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee
Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own admission--hardly the
class clown when he was a student at University High School. Ferrell, who was
quite calm and quiet, decided to make his mark on football, where he set a
school-record for the most field goals he made. In the more cozy confines of
his suburban home, Ferrell displayed little of the outrageous, funny bursts
that would later to define his career.
